“...Yes. His Majesty and Arvis are anxiously awaiting your arrival in the capital. Please, see to it that you make your way there.”
—Her final conversation with Sigurd

Aida (アイーダ Aīda, translated Ida in the fan translations) is a non-playable ally character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. She is Arvis's closest confidant, the mother of Saias, the daughter of Cowen, and a commander of Velthomer's armies and the Roten Ritter.

Not much is known about the relationship between Arvis and Aida, but it is hinted that Saias is the result of their union. Regardless, Aida is very involved in Arvis' plan to eliminate all of his potential enemies and seize the Grannvellian throne, and is put in charge of the betrayal of Duke Reptor.

After Reptor's forces have been eliminated, Aida informs Sigurd that Arvis is waiting for him at Belhalla Castle, luring him and his army into Arvis's trap. This essentially sets the stage for the tragic Battle of Belhalla that took place moments later.

In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, it is revealed that Aida dies while protecting Saias from Manfroy and the Lopto Sect.

Overview

Aida is not fought by Sigurd's army, as she serves as a mock NPC unit to destroy Reptor's forces. She is noteworthy for doing more damage to Reptor's army than any other Fire Mage equipped with the Meteor tome. For some reason or another, Reptor's army will never target her despite her betrayal.
