“The Sacred Twin ice blade. Res +5.”
—In-game description
Audhulma (アウドムラ, Audomura lit. Audumla) is a sacred Sword that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Also known as the Ice Blade (氷剣, Hyōken lit. Ice Sword), Audhulma is, alongside the Wind Blade Excalibur, one of Jehanna's Sacred Twin treasures. Like most of its counterparts, this sword deals effective damage against Monsters.
Background
Edit
Audhulma is, along with the Wind Blade Excalibur, given to Eirika and Joshua by Queen Ismaire in Chapter 14A as her dying wish. This decision shows both her desire for peace and the entrusting of the country's legacy to her son.

Overview
Edit
Audhulma is practically tailor made for Joshua, as its weight is precisely equal to his constitution as a swordmaster, but it may be used by any other sword-wielding unit as well. In the hands of a swift unit, Audhulma is an incredibly proficient mage killer.
One does not necessarily have to expend weapon uses to capitalize off of Audhulma's resistance boost. If the only opponents in attacking range are magic users, it might be a good idea to leave the sword equipped, as its user will be able to use its resistance boost without expending weapons uses.

Etymology
Edit
The name of the sword, Audhulma, or its Japanese name Audumla, is derived from the cow of ice of the same name in Norse mythology, which uncovered the god Bor while licking a block of ice in the primordial chasm called Ginnungagap.
