Beorc
From Fire Emblem Wiki
The Beorc are a race in the Tellius Series of Fire Emblem. They are most comparable to humans, as they have no special abilities regarding transformation as their Laguz counterparts. Due to their lack of physical prowess in comparison to the Laguz, they use weapons to fight whereas the Laguz use their bodies as weapons. They are known as the "Sons of Wisdom".
Beorc are known to have large racial gaps between them and the Laguz. The Begnion Empire enslaved the Laguz before Apostle Misaha (Empress Sanaki's grandmother) passed the Laguz Emancipation Act, freeing Laguz from slavery in Begnion. However, a racial division is still present (E.G: Many Beorc use the derogatory term "sub-human", insinuating inferiority of Laguz). The nation of Crimea was divided from its mother nation Begnion, led by senator Caradock, with the aim of making peace and frendship with the Laguz. Beorc also dislike all Branded they come across, while Laguz simply ignore them.
The Beorc are sometimes called "Humans" by the Laguz to counter the "Sub-human" insult.
The Beorc can also use Special Scrolls Called Arms Scrolls, which allow any Beorc Character to Upgrade the level of the Weapon he is wielding by one
Also Beorc characters who cannot use Magic can acquire Special Cards of Magic which allows them to deal Magical Attacks by using them, Which is useful when attacking an enemy with high defense but low resistance.
