So we got a Nintendo Direct entirely about Fire Emblem, and I may or may not be freaking out more than a little bit right now from all the new reveals and stuff. For those of you who've missed it, it can be found on Serenes Forest right now, along with their best analysis of what little information we have. For those who don't want to look at that, quick warning, I'm spoiling lots of stuff right here in this post, so don't read this post if you want to wait and watch the Direct yourself for all the news.
First and foremost, there were four revealed games for the upcoming two years. Yeah, that's right, four. One of them technically doesn't really count as a full reveal right now, but eh, it's still a reveal in my book, and I'm the one writing…Read more >
You're playing Conquest, and you understand that the game has limited time to gain experience. You could either choose to use some characters and ditch the rest in the interests of keeping your team competitive and alive through the chapters...or you can grind out every last drop of exp this game has to offer. This guide shows how to do the latter: how to optimize experience grinding, the best maps to experience grind on, and the best way to make sure your team can handle whatever Conquest throws at you.
For some this guide totally defeats the purpose of Nohr mode, which is supposed to be a game of limited resources and challenge. That's a legitimate viewpoint and I won't contest it; feel free to stop reading. This guide is meant for either…Read more >
Welcome back to another fabulous Decklist Post! I've decided today isn't going to be a Budget List - instead, every third or fourth Decklist Post is going to be a List for a character I particularly like from each color, and I'm going to call them FriendList Posts because I think it sounds nice, and I'm also going to come up with names for these Decks as opposed to my Budget Lists, which shall remain nameless. This FriendList is for your(My? Our?) little sister from Hoshido, Sakura!
Sakura, to provide a tiny bit of background for those uneducated in the characters and plotline of Fire Emblem Fates, is the player's Avatar's little sister from the Hoshidan side of their family. She's very shy and reserved, but sincere, and while her Nohrian c…Read more >
I'll be switching to Birthright soon, so I don't have the time to just infinitely grind gold bars and get eternal seals for everyone. As I'm using the kids I'll be figuring out below how to optimize each. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions.
Kana: I'm troubled with whom Avatar should marry. On one hand, the children have all had more time to grow than the parents and so they have higher initial stats to pass down. On the other hand, the children uniformly have worse growth rates than their parents. So if I marry Flora (the only 1st gen choice left...stupid me for picking a male avatar), my Kana will have better growths...but be stuck with shittier starting stats, not to mention reclassing to the troubador as an option which I find o…Read more >
Sorry this was empty for so long - for some reason it posted the post without any content so I had to go back and rewrite the whole thing and then it crashed halfway through so...yeah.
Anyways, Series 7 is out now, huzzah and all that. Really, the main card I'm happy for is Sakura because she's my favorite Hoshidan Sibling, though Lyn will probably be cool too. Also, what the heck happened to Yuzu's chest? The first six sets she's completely flat and then bam she suddenly has boobs. Not that I'm complaining too loudly, but it is kinda weird. I'm not actually writing this to be hyped about S7 right now, though. I'm here to write up a Decklist Post for Donnel!
For those of you who missed my last post, I'm gonna throw out some posts where I try…Read more >
I was just wondering, in Fates, is the type of ore or food you get depend on what talent you choose? and if so, what talent has which kind?Read more >
So I decided I want to start putting up some decklist ideas for people who want to play FEØ(Cipher). Basically, I'll put up the decklist for said deck I've made, and then a decklist that is how I would build the deck if I wasn't so poor. I was going to begin with Donnel because he's super fun and relatively cheap - which is especially important because right now Cipher is Japan-exclusive so you have to import the cards - but I asked some friends to make their own Donnel lists so I could compare them with mine and see what works best, and I haven't got back to them about that so instead I'm going to give you a list for a Yuzu Deck because someone mentioned on my Talk Page that my Uses section on Shade kind of slammed her for being mostly a …Read more >
A couple weeks ago, a friend and I challenged each other to complete a hard, classic Conquest run with roster restrictions. I challenged him to beat the game using exclusively non-noble characters (other than Corrin), and he challenged me to beat the game using only ranged weapons. I mentioned in passing that our runs shouldn't be too difficult since we both have access to Mozu, and then he expressed frank disappointment with Mozu's offensive viability in his initial play-through. He also commented that she looks more boring than the NPCs, which is hilariously true.
For those who aren't aware, Mozu is one of those underdog characters who have the potential to blossom into greater units. Somewhat analogous characters from previous titles inclu…

Hey, you're still here! That's good. It means you weren't bored to death by my last post. For those of you who haven't seen said post and are too busy to click the link, it begins with a tiny introduction of myself and a not so tiny introduction to Fire Emblem Ø(Cipher), the card game. Yes, there is a card game. Yes, I already said that last time, returning readers(both of you), but there might be new people who haven't seen last time. Anyways, I was going to do a full breakdown of all of Cipher to make it easier to understand for people, hopefully eventually adding my info to the official article, however, my first post ended up longer than I thought it would be, so I split it into two sections, with the first one focusing on Card Breakdo…Read more >
