In Irish mythology, Caladbolg was the sword of Fergus mac Róich from the Ulster Cycle, and was said to be a two-handed blade that was capable of constructing a circle that resembled a rainbow arc when swung, alongside being imbued with the power to shave the tops of hills and massacre an entire host.
