Close Defense is a type A passive skill introduced in Fire Emblem Heroes. It increases the unit's Defense and resistance if attacked by a foe using swords, axes, lances, dragonstones or beast attacks, additionally if using the fourth tier of the skill the unit will neutralize all bonuses on foe.

It can be learned without inheriting by: Ephraim (Sacred Twin Lord), Joshua, Sigurd, Sumia, Tiki (Summering Scion) and Velouria
