“This is my squadron! If you wish to not get involved, then step aside. Troops, prepare to attack! Remember, no survivors!”
—Coruta, talking to Altena
Coruta is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is a Thracian dragon knight who works for Travant. After the death of Bloom by Seliph's forces, Travant sends Coruta to attempt to seize Manster. Coruta will eventually fall to the sheer might of the liberation army.
The same event is depicted in Thracia 776, when he shows up in Chapter 23 under orders from Travant, intending to re-capture Manster. Despite Altena's protests against his engaging Leif's army in battle, he will lead his squad into battle and either perish, get captured, or fail to achieve his objective.

“Lady Altena is too soft... This is the perfect chance to claim Manster. The king has a soft spot for Lady Altena, but even he won't listen to her for this incident. I should follow the king's orders here...”

“Heheheh... Sorry, But you're gonna die.”
—Coruta's battle quote in Genealogy of the Holy War
“Glory to Thracia! ...gahaa...”
—Coruta's death quote in Genealogy of the Holy War
“ Hahaha… Die!”
—Coruta's battle quote in Thracia 776
“...Glory be...to...Thracia! Guh...”
—Coruta's death quote in Thracia 776
“...It won't be like this next time. You'll regret this decision!”
—Coruta's release quote in Thracia 776
- Coruta is one of the few minor bosses to show up in two non-remake games.
- Coruta is unique as he was depicting the same battle under entirely different games.
- Coruta's appearance in Genealogy of the Holy War is a recolour of a very common boss portrait. Instead of retaining this design or giving him a unique appearance in Thracia 776, he once again uses one of the game's generic boss designs.
