“Watch your mouth, boy! You're just a lowly servant, of mine! All right then, show me what you've got! I'll take you all on!”
—Dagdar in Thracia 776
Dagdar (ダグダ Daguda) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is a retired bandit, once the leader of the Mount Violdrake Bandits. He later went on to help found the Fiana Freeblades, a small band of outlaw do-gooders, mostly concerned with helping the knight Finn and the mysterious swordmaster Eyvel protect the exiled young Prince Leif. He is the father of the tomboyish archer Tanya who also works for the Fiana Freeblades, he also serves as the father-figure to Marty a dumb but good-natured ex-bandit. If Chapter 8x is skipped, Dagdar will become the DeadlordTigris. Due to Marty's ending title, it is speculated that Dagdar may have fatherly or even romantic feelings toward the young brigand.
He is considered to be in the Jagen Archetype meaning that he starts out great but has horrible growth rates. Much like Marty however, he is still sometimes used well beyond his expiration date due to his high build, which allows him to easily capture units.
Again, Dagdar is a Jagen archetype, so you should not let him steal experience from your other units. However, he is good for capturing, so use him for that until your other units make him unnecessary to use. He can be made into a powerful character using scrolls and he has a decent skill in Charge.
Dagdar - Ex-brigand of Mount Violdrake (紫竜山の元山賊 Murasaki Tatsuyama no moto sanzoku)
After returning to his base on Purple Dragon Mountain, he rounded up the brigands and put his efforts into working the wastelands once again. His hard work paid off, and several years later, the barren land became rich with nutrition.
