The Darkness Sword （あんこくの剣 Ankoku no Ken ）is a cursed sword that appears in Fire Emblem Gaiden and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. In the latter, it was given to Mareeta by Raydrik, which caused her to attack anyone at sight, including her foster mother, Eyvel. Saias later dispelled the curse off the sword, bringing Mareeta to her senses. Mareeta was then entrusted with the sword, which was renamed to Mareeta's Sword. According to Saias, the sword wasn't originally meant to be evil.
