“An amulet that protects fliers from arrows.”
—In-game description, The Sacred Stones

The Delphi Shield (デルフィの守り Derufi no mamori, lit. Delphi's Protection) is a shield that first debuts in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. When equipped by a Flying Unit, this shield negates all Weapon effectiveness bonuses that such units are known to sustain from Wind magic and Bows.

In Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, an Arcadian villager who is encountered in Chapter 14 of the former game, reveals that the Delphi Shield is an amulet that once belonged to Delphi, the god of the skies.

In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, the Delphi Shield is replaced by the Fili Shield (フィーリの守護 Fīri no shugo, lit. Fili's Protection). The Fili Shield's functionality remains unchanged from its original iteration, neutralising the weapon effectiveness bonuses that Wind magic and Bows possess against Flying Units.

A similar item that is known as Iote's Shield appears exclusively in the Archanea Series of the Fire Emblem Series. In its original manifestation in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Iote's Shield not just negates the weapon effectiveness bonuses that specifically work against Flying Units, but indiscriminately neutralises all weapon effectiveness bonuses appearing in the game. The shield's subsequent iterations in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem sees the omnipotent ability of the shield being lifted, instead functioning as carbon copies of the Delphi Shield.
