Divine Dragon (神龍, literally God Dragon, translated as Goddess Dragon in the Japanese version) is a transformed Manakete class that appears in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, although it also appears in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, Fire Emblem: Binding Blade, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, and Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyū~ but not as a standalone class. They are effective against all Manakete and transformed dragon classes. The playable characters of this class are Tiki, Nagi, Fae, Nowi, and Nah. Manaketes transform to this form by using Divinestones.
Divine Dragons are the most common type of playable dragon being the only playable manakete in Binding Blade and Awakening, other manakete types not even showing up in the latter.

Appearance and Characteristics
Edit
In contrast to the Fire Dragons who resemble typical western fantasy dragons, Divine Dragons typically have a softer and majestic appearance. Their colors are typically bright silver-white or a golden hue. Divine Dragons are depicted with feathers in Mystery of the Emblem and Binding Blade
The humanoid forms of the Divine Tribe are often less draconic then the other Dragon Tribes. None are depicted with reptilian wings, though Tiki and Fae are sometimes shown with feathery wings. In the DS games, the Divine Dragon characters lack the greyish skin-tone that many other Manaketes have. Due to this, some Divine Dragons like Xane can succesfully pass themselves off as humans.
In Nah's support with Cynthia, it is revealed Divine Dragons can smell a person's true intentions. However it is unclear if all Divine Dragons have this ability.
While the few Divine Dragons seen in the series are shown to be benevolent, it is indicated that they can be rather aloof and distant, as shown by Naga insisting on Forsetti not interfering with the lives of the humans on Jugdral. The human Lewyn became emotionally distanced from his loved ones when possessed by Forsetti.
Storyline
Edit
In Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, its remake Shadow Dragon, and sequel Mystery of the Emblem, the Naga race of Divine Dragons was one of the most powerful of the dragon races, with only the Earth Dragons being comparable in might. However, after the war against the Earth Dragons, the surviving Divine Dragons exhausted their Dragonstones and could no longer transform. Their leader, Naga, also perished, but not before sealing the newborn divine dragon child, Tiki, into a deep sleep.
In the backstory of Binding Blade, the Divine Dragons were still the most powerful of the dragon races, and when The Scouring began, the other dragons wished for their aid in the war by having them create artificially spawned War Dragons to fight the numerous humans. The Divine Dragons refused and fled into the Nabata Desert, except for a young girl named Idenn, who was captured by the other dragons and transformed into a Demon Dragon. The other Divine Dragons would live in peace with the humans of Nabata, settling in the town of Arcadia.
