Eliu (エリウ Eriu) is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. She is one of the members of Duke Bloom's sister magi squad, consisting of herself, Vampa and Fetra. Each of the sisters specializes in a particular type of magic, with Fetra using Thunder. The three sisters appear in both Chapters 7 and 8, and will eventually die in the latter chapter while facing off against Seliph's army.

OverviewEdit

Eliu is fought twice, once in Chapter 7, and another in Chapter 8. The only difference between the two encounters is that in the first one, Eliu possesses a Life Ring, while in the second one, Fetra has a Leg Ring instead. Eliu does not have any leadership stars, and it is thus recommended to defeat her after slaying Vampa. Furthermore, the player should be careful of the triangle attack the sisters are able to initiate.

Triangle AttackEdit

If Vampa, Fetra, and Eliu manage to surround a unit on three sides (a triangle), they can activate a Triangle Attack, which is essentially a guaranteed critical hit. It is worth noting that Vampa is always the initiator of the triangle attack.

EtymologyEdit

Vampa, Fetra and Eliu are corruptions of Banba, Fodla and Eriu, who are important triumvirates of goddesses in Irish mythology.
