“Oh, if you're going up front, then please take these vulneraries...”
—Ellen in a support conversation with Miledy

Ellen is a young cleric in service as the lady-in-waiting to Guinevere, the princess of Bern. She escaped from Rude, a knight of Bern, who had taken her and her lady as hostage. Bumping into Roy, she enlists his help in saving Guinevere and offers to user her healing staff to aid his cause. With the aid of Eturian mercenaries hired by Eliwood, Rude and his cohort are eventually crushed.

She and Zeiss grew up in the same hometown; in their support conversation, it is revealed that Ellen is rather shy around men.

Ellen is the first magic user in the game. She is a potential candidate to use Light Magic, which is virtually exclusive to the Bishop class in this game, unlike its prequel.

[edit] Overall

Don't be fooled by her low Speed growth, she usually has excellent avoid. Even so, she is still quite frail, and plays the role of a glass cannon. She will quickly max Magic, Resistance, and Luck, and will also usually receive decent speed and skill despite the growths, thanks to her high starting stats. Her major flaw is her very low HP and Defense. If she doesn't dodge, she's gone.

[edit] Possible Endings

  • Ellen - Saint of Bern

Ellen returned to Bern with Guinevere to rebuild a land ravaged by war, and to reunite a people devastated by defeat. Her hard work and kind-hearted nature earned her the title, "The Saint of Bern."
