Robin using Arcfire in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Arcfire is the side special move for Robin in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

Upon using the move, Robin generates a small fireball above their head and fires it diagonally downward in front of them. Like Ness' PK Fire, this move creates a fire pillar upon contact with an opponent or the ground, hitting them multiple times. If it contacts an enemy, they will sustain a maximum of 10% damage. This move has 6 points of durability before they must discard the tome, and the player must wait about ten seconds before it returns to Robin and can be used again. Robin also uses Arcfire at the end of their standard combo if the A button is held during the combo. Arcfire takes the form of a small condensed explosion at the end of the combo and will consume 1 durability point if used.

Arcfire has two variations, Arcfire+ and Fire Wall. Arcfire+ takes longer to cast, but explodes when it hits, dealing a singular, more powerful hit. Fire Wall casts a larger pillar of fire that deals greater knockback rather than multiple hits, and can also protect from attacks.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]

Arcfire returns as the side special move for Robin in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, being functionally identical as before, although like the other special moves, it does not retain its custom variations.
