Valaura is a corrupted Light magic tome from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Capable of inflicting the poison condition upon successfully damaging a selected target, this tome will generate a gargantuan orb of pestilent light into battle when cast, centripetally drawing upon fell energy before combusting. This tome is originally wielded by senator Valtome, and may be obtained by defeating him in Chapter 4-2. This is one of the few poisonous weapons the player can utilize.

As one of two S-level Light Magic tomes in Radiant Dawn, Valaura has less uses than Nosferatu does. As such, it is recommended to Silence Valtome in order to reduce any wastage of the tome's limited uses.

Trivia[]

  • The Valaura tome's spell animation mirrors that of the SS-ranked Rexaura tome. It is thus possible to speculate that the tome could have originally been a copy of the Rexaura tome before being tampered with by Valtome to suit his twisted tastes.
  • The name "Valaura" is a composite name. "Val" is derived from the tome's original user, Valtome, and "Aura" is derived from its affinity to the divine.
  • Valaura is the first poison-inflicting weapon in the series that can be obtained without stealing.
