- April 5, 2023: Wave 4 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass is released, introducing the Fell Xenologue DLC side story.
- March 7th, 2023: Wave 3 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass is released, containing the last of the DLC Emblem Bracelets.
- February 8th, 2023: Wave 2 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass is released. Announcements of Engage Expansion Pass contents announced including Emblem Hector, Soren, Camilla, Chrom, Male Robin, and Veronica. Expansion Story, Fell Xenologue, for Wave 4 announced.
- January 20th, 2023: Fire Emblem Engage is released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.

Alear (リュール) is the protagonist of Fire Emblem Engage and an Avatar character. Their name and gender is chosen by the player. Alear is the child of the Divine Dragon Queen Lumera who fought against the Fell Dragon Sombron utilizing the power of the twelve Emblem Rings. Sustaining a grievous wound during the final battle, Alear was put into a deep slumber until their awakening a thousand years later, marking the start of the events of Engage. Alear embarks on a quest across Elyos to gather the Emblem Rings and bless them using their Divine Dragon powers. However, war begins when the nation of Elusia launches an invasion against the other nations to steal their Rings. Alear must fulfill their duty as a Divine Dragon to prevent the return of Sombron and call upon the power of the Emblems once more.
