The Forest Knight, also known as the Ranger in the western releases, is a class in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones'.

In Seisen no Keifu and Thracia 776, they are the promoted version of the Free Knight, and have more speed and skill than a Paladin.

In The Sacred Stones, it is one of the classes an Archer or a Mercenary can promote to, and can use Bows as well as swords. To promote an archer to that class, they must use the Orion's Bolt after they reach level ten. For mercenaries, the level condition remains the same but you must use a Hero Crest instead.

Like all mounted units, Forest Knights generally have great mobility, though may be slower than other mounts. Forest Knights are noted for being the only mounted unit being able to navigate across water, which is something only a Berserker, Pirate or flying unit would be able to do.
