Alright, I'm mildly confused. Cornelius and Marth are supposed to be the descendants of Anri. However, Anri never married because his beloved Artemis married Cartas -- and he apparently didn't have any heirs because his brother Marcelus took the throne of Altea when he died.

I'm sure you can predict my question, but I'll go ahead and type it out: how can Anri have descendants if he didn't have kids? I mean, at best, wouldn't Marth and Cornelius be descendants of Anri's father? They'd share a common ancestor (if you can call a father an ancestor), but Anri couldn't have direct descendants without kids, right? Marth and the royal family of Altea are indeed descended from Marcelus, not Anri. Why they claim to be descendants of Anri, well, probably because Anri is the legendary hero, claiming to be his heirs gives them legitimacy. Marcelus, on the other hand, did nothing of note during the war, and Gra broke off from Altea due to nobles and the sort being dissatisfied with him and his rule (at least that is how I interpreted it). Not exactly a fond legacy.--Otherarrow (talk) 11:47, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
Ah. So it's like, "The Royal family of Altea, descendants of Anri! Forget about that other guy..." Hm, it could be because Anri's legendary hero status is what gave him what little legitimacy he had as a king whereas his brother, not a legendary hero, was simply a commoner to them. That's probably a problem. I notice on Marth's page it does say once that he's an "indirect" descendant of Anri's. I suppose that's as accurate as it's going to get. Anyway, thanks! :) --GwenhwyfarRaven (talk) 11:54, September 14, 2012 (UTC)GwenhwyfarRaven
