Gail is the boss of Chapter 4 of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and its remake who appears as a Pirate guarding the castle on the east side of the chapter. When he is confronted by the player, he will beg him/her to spare his life at first but then finds it useless to do so and that he has no other choice but to fight. When he is defeated by the Altean Army, it is unknown if he was killed or he retreated and was never heard from again as hinted in his death quote. He wields a Silver Axe so any weak or untrained units will be vulnerable to him. He drops a Bullion worth 5,000 gold once defeated.

- Like most Pirate and Thief bosses, he shares a variation of Gazzak's portrait in the original Mystery of the Emblem. In the remake, he is given a new portrait and appears much fatter than he did in the original.
