The Great Gate is a location in Fire Emblem Awakening, lying just north of Valm Harbor.
Profile[]
There are numerous villages surrounding the Great Gate. A gang of bandits led by Jamil uses the Great Gate as a launching point for their attacks on these villages.
Interestingly, the map of the Great Gate is identical to Duma's Gate from Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, suggesting that they are the same place. This is further supported by the fact that both gates are in roughly the same location, in the far northeast of the continent of Valm.
Story[]
The Great Gate comes under attack in Paralogue 6, where Inigo battles Jamil and his gang alone in an attempt to win the affections of a local girl. Chrom's army arrives to help him, reuniting Inigo with his long lost mother, Olivia. If either Chrom or Olivia speaks to Inigo, he will join the Shepherds.
Trivia[]
- In both Awakening and Gaiden, the map hosts a boss by the name of Jamil.
