The Griffon Rider (Griffon Knight in the Japanese version) is a promoted class of the Wyvern Rider introduced in Fire Emblem: Awakening. This class rides on griffons and uses only Axes. Griffon Riders are treated as Aerial and Beast units. Their maximum stats are somewhat more balanced than those of the Wyvern Lord or the promoted Pegasus Knight classes, though they still have a strong physical leaning.
