Solely bound to the Mad King Ashnard, Gurgurant is a weapon that is dauntingly formidable, as it confers a plethora of substantial boosts to its already-intimidating wielder's Strength and Accuracy through its high Might and Hit Rate. Etymology[]
In Arthurian Mythology, Gurgurant was a cannibal king and father of a son that had been murdered by a giant - A very apt allusion to not just the tyrannical, bloodthirsty and deranged figure that Ashnard cuts in Path of Radiance, but also his lack of knowledge of the existence of his son, rendering said son akin to being dead and non-existent to him.
Trivia[]
- Gurgurant has the highest Might in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
- The Gurgurant briefly appears during a flashback sequence in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
- As of yet, the origins of the Gurgurant, how and when Ashnard procures it, alongside its eventual fate after his death, are unknown.
