“I'm sorry, Hermina. I wandered into Manster while looking for our father, and the people were so bad off I just couldn't leave them.”
—Hawk

Hawk (ホーク Hōku, Hawke in fan translations) is a playable character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. He is the substitute character of Ced if Erinys either died or was not paired up, and is the brother of Hermina. In Chapter 9, he can enter Luthecia Castle and initiate a conversation, in which he gains three points of magic and three points of magic defense.

Personality

Hawk is much like Ced, who he replaces, and as such is very level-headed. In comparison to him however he has a much calmer side to himself as opposed to the issues Ced finds with his missing father.

Overall

Hawk is one of the best replacements due to his solid base stats, alongside the fact that he comes equipped with a Lightning tome. While Ced is obviously superior to his replacement, this is only especially so if his father was Lewyn. If Ced's father happens to be anyone else, then the only points that he really bests Hawk in are his stat growths and inherited items.

Conversations

In Chapter 8, Hawk can be recruited if Seliph speaks to him.

In Chapter 8, if Hermina speaks to Hawk, she will gain one point of luck.

In Chapter 9, if Hawk enters Luthecia Castle, Hawk will initiate a conversation, in which he gets three points of magic and three points of magic defense.

In the Final chapter, if Hawk is in love with either Tine or Linda, his lover may speak to him. This will result in him gaining three points of magic.

Love

Original and replacement characters have the same love growths, unless stated otherwise.
