“Well done, rabble. Anyone else would be dead by now. A shame you must end your campaign right here, before your own gates!”
—Hollstadt's battle quote in Shadow Dragon

Hollstadt is the boss of Chapter 16 in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He guards the entrance to the Altean Castle. Hollstadt is of the General class, and uses both a Killer Lance and a Killer Bow in Shadow Dragon, and drops a Dracoshield when defeated.

In Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, he is the only enemy that uses a Killer Lance in book 1 and he does not drop it.

He was a portrait re-use of the Harmein-type face in both the NES and SNES games. Shadow Dragon is the first game where he received his own portrait.
