The Iron Ballista is a Ballista with strength that surpasses the regular ones, but like the other ballistae, they are ranged weapons which can only be used by placing an Archer or Sniper on them. Additionally they are very effective against flying units and cannot be countered. The Iron Ballista stands out as having the highest range of any weapon in the Fire Emblem series, being able to fire at up to 15 squares away.
