“Nothing is more beautiful than the suffering of men. When I'm watching, I'm afloat in an ocean of pure bliss...”
—Kenneth in The Blazing Blade.

Kenneth is an enemy character in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and a heretical priest associated with the Black Fang, known as the Shrike. He has denounced his faith in the gods in favor of worshiping Nergal, and he delights in the suffering of men.

He potentially appears as the boss of "Pale Flower of Darkness" only if the sum of the player's Guiding Ring users' levels (Serra, Erk, Priscilla, and Lucius) are higher than those of the player's Hero Crest users' (Dorcas, Bartre, Guy, and Raven). In this case, Kenneth is left to watch over the Black Fang fortress while Sonia is away, but then is killed in battle with Eliwood and Hector's group.

It is worth noting that it is easier to get Karel in his map version, and that he has the only obtainable Aura tome in the game. The Light Brand can be obtained from the desert map if not from Jerme.

Regardless of whether he or Jerme is fought in "Pale Flower of Darkness", a morph of Kenneth still appears as a boss in the final chapter, armed with the S Rank light tome Luce.
