Lance (weapon)
From Fire Emblem Wiki
The
Lance is one of the four physical weapon classes that exist in the Fire Emblem series.
Technically a Lance is a long pole weapon with a sharp, piercing end. This can come in many varieties, most Lances in the Fire Emblem series are wooden poles with metal tips attached to the end. This tip comes in many different shapes and sizes, usually depending on the particular type of lance (Iron Lance, Killer Lance, etc...). They are the preferred weapon of mounted characters.
Statistically Lances are the most balanced of the physical attacking weapons in the Fire Emblem series. Lances generally have more Might than Swords and have a higher Hit than Axes.
Lances are the most-used weapon class in the Fire Emblem series, owing to the fact that you fight against soldiers of a large country the most often; Soldiers and various Armor and Knight classes are the most common enemy.
