Lehran's Medallion

Lehran's Medallion is deemed the Fire Emblem in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, because of the chaotic energies that Yune radiates out of the Medallion. It is a heron clan treasure, which is an aged bronze medallion, in which Yune is sealed, 780 years before the events of Radiant Dawn.
Greil once touched it and it drove him to complete madness. When Ike was little he was scolded harshly by his father for attempting to touch the medalion. If one touches it, the Medallion magnifies the worst aspects of a person thousandfold. The proportion of order to chaos also affects the effects of the Medallion on the person who touches it. Mist and her mother Elena were the only beorc known to carry it safely, while the heron royals also can do so.
In Hard and Maniac modes, Ashnard touched Lehran's Medallion after Ike defeated him the first time but somehow kept his sanity. At this point, the player can call up the laguz royal of his choice.
