“No, because of my mistake, many soldiers have been lost, yet I have lived long. As a king, I am ashamed. I think I owe an apology to the citizens of Wellt. I shall bring down the Empire, even if it means my life. I have endured shame and lived on only for that day.”
—Loffaru

Loffaru (ロファール Rofāru) is a playable character from TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga. He is the king of Wellt, the second husband of Liza, and the father of Sasha. He is one of the Twelve Heroes who fought in the Leda Liberation War.

One year prior to the game's events, Loffaru left his kingdom to fight in the Balt War, but was later presumed dead because he did not return. This caused Wellt to be seized by his traitorous chancellor, Duke Codha. In truth, he did not die in the war, but was rather put into a coma and found by Barbaross, who left him in the care of Clarice.

During Map 19, he is recruited into Runan's army. If Sasha is sent with Runan after the first route split, Loffaru will have a reunion with her. In his conversation with Lionheart during the third intermission, he reveals that he intends to declare Liza's son as the next king of Wellt, as he does not wish for Sasha to inherit the throne.

OverviewEdit

Loffaru has an advantage right from the time he joins you, as his class is arguably the best in the game: possessing the same caps as the Gold Knight, and able to use all weapon types. Unfortunately, Loffaru's growths are poor, and his base stats are fairly mediocre for his high level - however, they are still good enough that he will not be a hindrance. Loffaru also supports a fair number of units including Runan and Sasha, which can be helpful. He will not be the best unit in your army, but can serve as a solid endgame crutch character if necessary.
