—Macbeth
Macbeth (マクベス Makubesu) is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, and is the leader of the town of Anphony in Agustria. When Heirhein runs into a conflict with Sigurd's army, Macbeth seizes the opportunity, and releases several bandits out into the eastern village area, intending for them to loot the villages found in said vicinity. Chagall later berates him for his greed, and pushes the responsibility of the deaths of Elliot and Boldor onto Macbeth. Macbeth later sends Voltz and Beowolf out onto the battlefield. His plan ultimately fails, as Sigurd's army defeats Voltz and convinces Beowolf to join its ranks. Macbeth will eventually fall.

Overview
Macbeth's defense stat is ludicrously high, his HP is impressive, and his access to Pavise makes him all the more durable, but his resistance is no greater than that of any other general. If the player is willing to wait a few turns, then the player can send Levin or a unit armed with the Armorslayer(which can be obtained from one of the villages) to deal with Macbeth. If the player is going for a low turncount, however, he or she can instead rely on the sheer might of high-strength attackers such as Sigurd, Lex, and Cuan to whittle away at his HP.
