A Marksman (known as Sagittary in the Japanese version) is a class in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn that is the promotion of a Sniper. Two of their special abilities is the Deadeye skill and the ability to shoot normal Bows one space farther than a Sniper or Archer. They are one of the most accurate classes in the whole game. Luckily, there are no enemy Marksmen. They are also useful for attacking three spaces away without a Longbow, but the drawback to that is when attacking from three spaces away, they are less accurate.

EtymologyEdit

The Japanese name of Sagittary comes from the astrological sign Sagittarius [1], the archer. The Japanese name "Saggittary" comes from the Latin word "Sagitta", which means "arrow".
