Martel is the boss of Chapter 18A: The Frozen River (Ilia) in Fire Emblem: Binding Blade. He captured Niime to cast a spell which is said to have been lost centuries ago to cause rainfall in snowy Ilia and confuse Roy's army. Niime ironically casts another spell that made the rivers freeze over, allowing Roy's army to advance more quickly.

His sprite is a recolor of Oro's. He shares this trait with another boss, Windam.

EtymologyEdit

Charles Martel was a Frankish military and political leader who halted Islamic expansion to western Europe. He lived from 688 to 741. He was the grandfather of the Frankish king Charlemagne.
