A Mastery Skill (known as Ouji in the Japanese version) is a special type of skill that can be taught to units that meet the set requirements, and is only used in Path of Radiance and Radiant. These skills, as the name "mastery" implies, are usually the most powerful or useful skills in the game. This applies more to Radiant Dawn than Path of Radiance, however, as the skills in the latter generally have only one power, while in the former they have that power and they do an increased amount of damage. The only exception to the rules is Aether, which in Path of Radiance had two effects and in Radiant Dawn didn't add any additional damage. The Mastery skills can be taught by either an Occult Scroll or a Satori Sign.
