“It all started when you fled from Lenster. My father was a kind man who loved peace. He had no reason to go against the Empire... But...but...! Just because he hid you, we were caught by the Empire and attacked! My father was forced to turn me over as a hostage and lost his right to his throne...he died a miserable death. I will never forgive you, Prince! If only you hadn't come to Alster...this never would have happened...”
—Miranda in Thracia 776

Miranda (ミランダ Miranda) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776; she is the princess of Alster. After her kingdom fell, she was exiled to a remote Lopto church. She initially despises Leif for hiding at Alster, in the past, which triggered the Empire to attack.

OverviewEdit

Miranda is of the Est archetype, like Sara, and thus she will start out weak, but she has impressive growth rates, so she will turn out decent if work is put into her. She promotes into a Mage Knight, but her strength growth is not good at all, so she might not be that useful when it comes to physical attacks. She starts out with a fire magic mastery rank of C (35) in fire magic, so you should have her use a fire tome 15 times so she can use Meteor tomes after promotion, then it is recommended to train her in wind magic. '

While she is technically capable of wielding swords upon promotion, there is essentially no reason to arm her with one. In that sense, she's more akin to the previous game's Mage Knights(Azel and Arthur) than she is Olwen or Eyrios. She lacks the build to wield all but the lightest of swords(though the Flame Sword and other magic weapons might be an option), has a poor Pursuit Critical Coefficient, and will rarely ever push her strength stat above 6 without heavy scroll use. Power Rings aren't really an option, either, because none are available prior to the Chapter 24.

Miranda benefits tremendously from the use of any manner of Scrolls, particularly the Dain scroll, which remedies her poor defense and allows her many opportunities to gain additional movement. If the player wishes to allow her to wield swords with any degree of competence (probably not a very worthwhile endeavor), the soon-to-be-obtained Noba scroll, along with the Neir and Dain scrolls, are nearly obligatory for her. Unfortunately, no amount of scroll usage will allow her to wield Olwen's Dime Thunder, obtain Eyrios' Sun Sword, fix her poor Pursuit Critical Coefficient, or wield staves.

EndingEdit

Miranda - The Stouthearted Princess (わがままな王女 Wagamamana ōjo)

While waiting for Leif in Alster, Miranda fell in love with a certain knight and disappeared. Despite her short temper, it is said that she lived happily as a wife and as a mother.
