Nate is a Wyvern Rider who was planned to appear in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones but was removed from the final retail version. His data can be found in the May 31, 2004 prototype build. It is possible Nate's place was eventually taken by Cormag (who was previously a Mercenary in Joshua's place).
Nate's base stats and growth rates in the prototype are copied from those of Heath from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, with the exception of his Fire Affinity (as opposed to Heath's Thunder) and D rank in Lances (as opposed to Heath's B rank).
