“Challenging me...is the equivalent of challenging God Himself. Take your punishment from my hands!”
—Oro

Oro is a boss character in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade; he is the very cruel and egotistical boss of Chapter 11A: The Hero of the Western Isles. Oro is assigned to supervise the mine in Mt. Eburacum by Lord Arcard, meaning he is Arcard's direct subordinate. In the in-game dialogue, his rank is Lord, meaning he has considerable authority and responsibility. It is also revealed he knows about Prince Mildain's assassination plot. Roy and his army enter this chapter to stop him from torturing the people working in the mines any further. They also try to prevent the bandits hired by Oro from destroying the entire mining settlement. If Saul or Elen do battle with Oro, they will share a conversation, mostly Saul or Elen saying that Oro is a disgrace to the Elimine Church.

Regardless of which story path is taken, Oro meets his end.

Battle Conversations

Elen: You are...a priest, are you not?
Oro: What of it? Anything can go unpunished if done in the name of God! Convenient, is it not?
Elen: ...That's unforgivable.

Saul: Well, we certainly have an evil bishop here, now, don't we?
Oro: I am simply living life the way I see fit. Anything can go unpunished if done in the name of God. Convenient, is it not?
Saul: You disgrace God... You shall pay for that!

Death Quote

“You...you heathen... I...represent God... Gah...!”
—Oro's death quote in The Binding Blade.

Etymology

"Oro" means gold in Italian and in Spanish, a name that suits him considering his cruel, greedy nature.
