Plegia (translated Perezia in the Japanese version) is a theocracy devoted to the Fell Dragon Grima. Long before the events of Awakening, Plegia was attacked by Ylisse. It was ruled by the war-hungry King Gangrel until he was dethroned by Chrom and eventually succeeded by Validar. The previous Exalt of Ylisse oppressed the citizens of Plegia for their worship of the Fell Dragon, causing them to despise Ylisse. This hatred has not changed even with the diplomatic Queen Emmeryn's rule. The barbarians of Plegia constantly encroach the borders of Ylisse, raiding villages, acts that can only fan the flames of war. Their army seems to be comprised mostly of barbarians/berzerkers, dark mages/sorcerors, wyvern riders/wyvern lords, and thieves/assassins.
