Phoenix Mode is a mode introduced in Fire Emblem Fates.

The Fire Emblem series is known for its permanent death system. When a Player Unit's health reaches 0, they die and can no longer be used in any future battles unless revived under special circumstances. Like Casual Mode, Phoenix Mode is designed to make the game easier on players, especially for those who wish to experience the full Fire Emblem story without having to restart a new playthrough if the game proves to be too difficult to progress. If a unit's health reaches 0, they will be temporarily incapacitated for that turn and the enemy's phase (if their health was depleted on the player's turn). Upon the player's next turn, all fallen units will be revived with full health. Enemy and NPC units will not enter Attack Stance and can only negate dual attacks in Guard Stance. Phoenix Mode can only be played on Normal difficulty.
