A Pupil (Trainee Mage in the Japanese version) is a Trainee class in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, meaning that if you take the time to train them, they could become very powerful. Ewan is the game's sole Pupil.

As a Pupil, Ewan has several promotion branches. These being:

• Pupil - Mage - Sage or Mage Knight
• Pupil - Shaman - Druid or Summoner

After you beat the game in Erika's Path and Ephraim's Path (one in each save), you get a 3rd branch. Pupil - Pupil (2) - Super Pupil

As a Super Pupil, Ewan can use Anima, Light, and Dark Magic, but not Staves.

TriviaEdit

• The Pupil is one of two magic classes that loses the use of a weapon after a promotion; if the Pupil promotes to Shaman, they will lose their Anima magic rank. They can, however, regain Anima upon promotion to the Druid class, but not the Summoner class. The other class would be the Dark Mage in Fire Emblem: Awakening; if they promote to Dark Knight, they lose their ability to use Dark Magic.
