Ralf (ラルフ Rarufu, Ralph in the fan translations) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is a traveling mercenary who joins Leif's army to help fight against the empire. He was found protecting a village against marauding bandits along with Amalda. In the game data, Ralf is coded to promote to a Hero, but since he is a Hero already he cannot promote (which suggests he may have been initially intended to be an Axe Fighter).

OverviewEdit

While not as good as units like Orsin and Halvan, Ralf is still serviceable unit, his base stats are fairly high, all his weapon ranks are great, and he is in one of the more versatile classes. Ralf will be able to kill most enemies in the game with little difficulty and his growths (including Build) are serviceable but he may have trouble keeping up with your mounted units.

In addition to an A-Rank in swords, Ralf has nearly a B-Rank in axes, allowing him to use any non-personal axe, such as Pugi, in the game, as there are no A-Rank axes in Thracia 776. Unlike a lot of characters, Ralf can use axes indoors which can be useful.

In short, Ralf is a great unit to use when your main units are fatigued, you need an extra unit, or Orsin and Halvan are dead.

Ralf - A Traveling Mercenary (流れ者の傭兵 Nagare-sha no yōhei)

Putting down his sword, Ralf took up farming to help rebuild Thracia's trampled lands. Nothing else about him remains in the records.
