In Path of Radiance, this skill increases the Strength, Speed, and Skill by 50% when its user has less than half of his/her maximum HP remaining. As Resolve is capable of positively affecting important stats such as Strength and Speed by a large extent, it is thus considered to be one of the best skills available in the game.
In Radiant Dawn, this skill increases Speed and Skill by 50% when its user has less than half of his/her maximum HP remaining. While this skill may not be as versatile as it is in Path of Radiance, it is still rather useful in boosting the statistics of certain weak characters.

- Resolve has an erroneous in-game description in Radiant Dawn. The game states that the skill activates when the user's HP is below 20%, whereupon his/her Strength, Speed, and Skill will increase by 1.5 times. However, in actuality, this skill activates at 50% or less of the user's maximum HP, alongside the fact that Strength is not increased.
- This could be attributed to the localization errors made from translating the Japanese version of the game, where Resolve does, indeed, require the user to be have 20% of his/her maximum HP remaining. Furthermore, the activation rate for this skill to activate is based on the user's Strength, which may or may not prove to be detrimental.
