A Revenant (ゾンビ, simply Zombie in the Japanese versions) is an enemy unit that first appeared in Fire Emblem Gaiden, returning in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem: Awakening. They are the most recurring type of Monster.

The Revenants resemble walking corpses. They walk slowly while hunched forward and a few scraps of clothing hang from their decaying bodies. They have deadly sharp claw-like hands that they use to attack their enemies with. In Gaiden and Awakening they attack after seemingly melting into the ground, and re-emerging above ground.

The Revenant is one of the enemies in The Sacred Stones that has infinite weapon uses/durability. This was because the creature used its claws to attack, most Revenants have the 'Rotten Claw', but some wield the much stronger 'Fetid Claw' or, very rarely, the 'Lethal Talon', which can poison the player.

In actual combat situations Revenants are somewhat ineffective. Like most of the monster classes the Revenant has a few fundamental weaknesses that make it less effective as a fighter, such as weak defenses, and weakness to those with the Slayer skill, so the monsters make up for this problem simply by coming at you in larger numbers than other enemies.

Revenants have rather low speed and skill so their attacks always have a high chance of missing, and their other stats are generally average if not less. Also being accompanied by low defense and fairly low resistance, they are easy to kill, but their high HP stats balance it out. They also usually come into combat at a relatively low level further decreasing their combat effectiveness.

In Awakening, they are part of the Risen.
