Rift Door

The Rift Door (時空ゲート Jikū gēto , lit. Space-time Gate) is an item that is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Awakening. When used on any spot on the over-world map, the Rift Door will summon a Merchant to the same location that Chrom is currently standing on. This item cannot be used when any groups of secondary units (be they NPC units, Merchants or other Risen hoards) are present on the location that Chrom is positioned. The Rift Door functions similarly to a Reeking Box; while the former summons Merchants, the latter summons hordes of Risen to appear on the over-world map.
