The Sleep Staff (スリープの杖, Surīpu no tsue) is a recurring Staff in the Fire Emblem Series. When cast, this staff allows its user to send a selected enemy unit to Sleep, rendering them immobile and vulnerable to hostile attacks. This staff is most commonly wielded by enemies during the middle and the later chapters across all the games. Although this staff is rather inaccurate, this is offset by its long range, allowing one to summon its effects and inflict upon an opposing unit at a safe distance.

Although the Sleep Staff can technically be wielded by any staff-wielding class, it is more effective in the hands of a character in possession of high Magic, as the staff's range is determined by said stat.

• In the manga adaptation of Genealogy of the Holy War, Raquesis reveals that the Sleep Staff afflicts one with the loss of control over their limbs, as opposed to actually putting someone to sleep.
