Sonia (ソニア Sonia, Soni in the fan translation) is a character from Fire Emblem Gaiden. She serves as a subordinate of Geyse, alongside Deen who keeps her in check and vice versa, although she is aware of Geyse's cruelty and hates him. If Celica defeated Deen, Sonia will retreat into the fortress. After Geyse's death, Sonia joins Celica's army, revealing that she thought Geyse would get his just rewards eventually. After the war ends, it is revealed that she is the youngest daughter of Judah, who intended to sacrifice her, along with her older and still loyal sisters, Mara and Heste, to Duma. She never intends to forgive him for that.

Sonia is one of the better spellcasters to use. She starts with pretty good stats and her growths are all the same. A 30% in all stats is pretty high for Gaiden, and assures that she will not have lopsided stats like Mae. She also learns pretty good magic. All in all, she is safe and a great spell caster, as she is likely to gain good defense. Since she will be class changed into a priest anyway, she will turn into a great mage killer.
