First Seen Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 Weapon Type Dark Magic Most common Weapon Rank A Uses 5

Stone (ストーン Sutōn) is a Dark Magic spell from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. In Thracia 776, this spell is wielded exclusively by Veld, while in The Sacred Stones, it is used by Gorgons. Upon successful casting of the spell, the user in question will be able to turn his/her/its target into stone, rendering said target to be unable to move or attack until he/she recovers or is healed with a Restore Staff.

In Thracia 776, the spell's effect is permanent and can only be removed with the aid of the Kia Staff. It also turns into the Fenrir tome when stolen.

In The Sacred Stones, this spell lacks a viable weapon rank, and can hence be used by any character if obtained through the employment of cheat codes or the Enemy Control Glitch. Any magic users who are previously unable to utilize Dark Magic will be able to increase their proficiency in this weapon type with the Stone spell, as it is the only form of monster magic that awards Weapon Experience. In order to get a D rank in Dark Magic to use the basic Flux spell, the magic user in question will need to cast the Stone spell a total of eight times (5x8=40).
