The Taliver Bandits are a ruthless group of bandits only mentioned in dialogue in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.

Overview[]

The Taliver Bandits are a bandit gang that reside at Taliver Mountain, within the mountain range along the Sacae-Bern border, and are named for the mountain they call home.

Before The Blazing Blade[]

They are said to pillage nearby villages and camps without care or mercy, even killing women and children—an act which disgusts even rival bandit groups such as the Ganelon Bandits, who prefer to hold women and children for ransom, but not kill them. Among the numerous cruelties they have committed, they are responsible for the annihilation of the Lorca tribe of Sacae. They first poisoned the tribe's drinking water, and then staged an attack in the night, resulting in the deaths of Lyn's parents, Hassar and Madelyn, along with almost the entire Lorca tribe, with Lyn the only known survivor. Lyn swears to avenge her parents and tribe by killing the Taliver Bandits, and hones her sword skills primarily for this purpose. The massacre of the Lorca leads Lyn to distrust all bandits, thieves, and pirates.

Eliwood and Hector's Stories[]

During the course of Eliwood's/Hector's stories, Wallace reveals in a support conversation with Lyn that, while he had lost his way at first, the reason he had traveled to Bern was to wipe out the Taliver Bandits, and through his work, the bandits are no more.

This revelation angers Lyn, as she wanted to kill the bandits herself. Wallace explains that he did it out of compassion for her, to make sure she was not consumed by hatred for all her life, and that she would not disgrace her grandfather Hausen and her parents' names with that same hatred.
