“This is what I spoke of.... if only I had more power...”
—Teodor

Teodor is a boss character in Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken. Although he identifies himself as the "Shrike", he is described as the Black Fang's "Shadow Hawk", as the name "Shrike" actually belongs to Kenneth. He is found in obscure ruins located near the Dragon's Gate, previously used by Nergal, where Eliwood and his group are resting. After a brief conversation, Teodor launches into an attack, where he will summon black fog and create a Fog of War map, and then teleport himself deep into the ruins.

Personally, he is a studious young man, dedicated to the study of dark magic. He tells the group that to gain true power, one has to sacrifice their identity and their sense of self to the darkness like Bramimond did many years before on Valor, The Dread Isle, to obtain the Silencing Darkness, Apocalypse. Given his interest in the dark arts and the fact that he only engages Eliwood's army if they travel far off the beaten path, it is possible that Teodor only joined the Black Fang to study the secrets of Valor undeterred.

Overview

It's easy to make the mistaken assumption that Teodor's Eclipse tome deals heavy magical damage, but It actually directly halves the HP of its victims. Because of this, the resistance of any unit approaching Teodor is insconsequential. Since most of the enemy units in this map are lance wielders, units with high defense such as Knights or axe wielders will be well suited to clear the path to him. Players should make sure to deal with the Ballistician near the center of the map before approaching Teodor, as Eclipse tends to get dangerous when other powerful attacker are capable of supporting its wielder

Statistically speaking, Teodor is weaker than his massive level might suggest(he's actually roughly equivalent to a promoted Zoldam in power, aside from his superior Magic and Skill) , but is still the most powerful foe encountered up to this point. With 23-25 resistance (thanks in part to his throne), Teodor is all but immune to spells. His magic stat is extremely high as well, and his Nosferatu tome will make him incredibly difficult to kill should he opt to use it. Thankfully, Eclipse is extremely heavy and does not rely on its user's magic. So long as the player is capable of defeating Teodor before he runs out of Eclipse uses, the Druid should go down without giving the player too much trouble.
