“The Radiant Hero, a legendary hero from a distant land. Chrom and his allies arrive at an isolated island, in search of this hero, and find more than they had sought...”

The Radiant Hero (Hero of the Blue Flames in the Japanese version) is Paralogue 23 of Fire Emblem: Awakening. This Paralogue is only available via SpotPass.

Paralogue InformationEdit

This map has a total of 50 enemies comprised of 49 other units and Priam. There are 9 Swordmaster units, 9 General units, 7 Sniper units, 9 Warrior units, 9 Sage units, and 6 Hero units, not counting Priam, who is also a Hero. All melee units are equipped with Silver weapons suited for their class, however some wield Spears or Tomahawks. One wields a Hammer, and another wields a Beast Killer. The Sages are all equipped with B-rank tomes (Rexcalibur, Thoron, and Bolganone).

Priam comes equipped with Ragnell (A-rank Sword, grants Def+5), and carries a Secret Book and Goddess Icon, both of which drop on his defeat. He does not drop his sword, but will come equipped with it upon his recruitment.

StrategyEdit

This will be a difficult battle, as each of the units has skills equipped, but nothing too bad, excepting Priam, who comes with Swordbreaker, Axebreaker, Lancebreaker, Sol, and Luna. Your best bet is to use indirect attacks from Tome-equipped units, as he does not have Tomebreaker, but assaulting him with a unit with capped stats can also be extremely effective.

Getting Priam alone however, is not an easy task, as he advances with his army. It is recommended to Pair Up stronger units with weaker ones.

A female Avatar can make a good choice for this map, especially when paired with Chrom, or Walhart if either have S-Rank support. A recommended setup for this avatar, or any character who can inherit/learn the skills is:

1. Reclass the character several times and/or have the character inherit the the skills Lifetaker (Dark Knight), Ignis (Grandmaster) or Renewal (War Cleric), Galeforce (Dark Flier), Sol (Hero), and Armsthrift (Mercenary).
2. Settle on reclassing the character to a War Cleric, or any class that can use an Axe or Sword, and equip her with a Bolt Axe, and a Killer Axe If swords are used, Levin Sword and Killing Edge. An Elixir will help keep their health topped up. Or, you can class them to a Tome-wielding class, and equip them with Nosferatu, or another life-draining tome.
3. A reclassed S-rank support partner of the character used will help protect them into the hordes of enemies and provide help in defeating enemies.
4. Send them into the enemies, the equipment and their skills will help defeat each enemy as they approach.

This approach will thin out the approaching enemies, and make it easier to make your way to Priam. Since the map objective is to Rout the enemy, you'll need to take all of them out.

Having more than one character equipped this way will allow you to clear the map even faster. If your one or two map-clearing characters have capped stats, this will work in your favor, and make wiping them out easier.
