Awaken The Fire
Fire Emblem: Awakening is the latest installment of the turn-based strategy RPG series for the Nintendo 3DS System. The story follows the prince of the Kingdom of Ylisse, Chrom, and his band of vigilante soldiers, The Shepherds. The game follows the exploits of the Shepherds as they struggle during a turbulent era. The game will be released on Feburary 4, 2013 in North America and April 2013 in Europe.

Gameplay
The gameplay of Fire Emblem: Awakening retains qualities from previous games in the series. The game utilizes a turn-based tactical role-playing system, where each unit of the player's group is given a movement grid. Players move their various characters into position before attacking their enemy. Battles are typically won by attacking the enemy side until all the characters have been defeated. If all of the player's units die before the battle is won, then the game is over.

New and Old Features
Fire Emblem: Awakening brings forth a slew of new features, as well as reintroducing rarely used features from older games. The "My Unit" system of Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo: Hikari to Kage no Eiyū returns in greater detail. The player can create and customize their own playable character. Between battles, players may move their character through a traversable world map. This feature was originally seen in Fire Emblem: Gaiden and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Characters can also develop emotional ties with each other, with a few being able to marry and have children. This feature was present originally in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu.

The Shepherds
The main character, Chrom, leads a band of vigilante soldiers from the Kingdom of Ylisee. He is the brother of Lissa, the princess of Ylisse and Emmeryn the Exalt of Ylisse. He leads his group, The Shepherds, to protect the kingdom from the neighboring nation of Plegia. Frederick, his deputy, is a strong veteran solider. The group meets a mysterious character known as Avatar, who is found lying unconscious on the roadside. The Avatar is the player's own character and can be customized. The team is rounded out by other friends and soliders of the Kingdom.

Classes
Fire Emblem: Awakening includes several new classes that are assigned to various characters. Like previous games, as a unit gains more experience, they can advance to a new level of a class, boosting their stats. A few of these new classes include Tactician (which is the default class of Avatar), Lodestar and Dark Flier. Each class can focus on a different set of stats, including physical strength, magical abilities, or dexterity.
Some of these classes include:
